One glance at the weather app tells us it's true: fall is on its way! While pumpkins and apples typically get all the love this time of year, we felt inspired to go rogue and highlight pears in all their sweet, crispy glory. When paired with our Apple Cinnamon Almond muesli and some warming spices, the result is one you'll want to repeat for breakfasts all month. Make this one hot or cold, whatever fits your style.

SPICED PEAR MUESLI BOWL
1/2 cup Classic Bircher Apple Cinnamon Almond muesli
1/2 cup milk of choice
1/2 pear, diced
1/2 tbsp butter or coconut oil
dollop of yogurt (optional)
To prep pears:
In a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter or coconut oil, then add diced pear and spices. Sauté until pears are soft, then remove from heat.
To prep muesli hot:
Combine muesli and milk. Heat in microwave for 1 minute then let stand. Or, combine and simmer equal parts muesli and milk in a pot over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
To prep muesli cold:
Combine muesli and milk in a bowl, then place in refrigerator for 20+ minutes (until oats begin to soften) or overnight.
When muesli is ready, top with warm sautéed pears and a dollop of yogurt. Dig in!
