Our Commitment to Planet Health

Biodiversity

Half of global primary crop production is made up of just four crops: rice, wheat, corn, and sugarcane. (Source: FAO) By contrast, over 98% of our ingredients by weight are diversified, like oats, flax, sunflower, and buckwheat, which are a great pollinator food source and has soil-health benefits as a cover crop.

Food Waste

Upcycling is the highest impact solution to reduce global warming according to Project Drawdown. We are creatively using ingredients like sunflower and oat protein, previously a byproduct, to their fullest nutritional potential. Since 2020, we have diverted 150 tons of nutrient dense ingredients from the waste stream.  Read all about our upcycling efforts here

Our pouches are made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) material upcycled from milk jugs, which reduces our demand for virgin plastic.

Soil Health

Seven Sundays is a founding member of the Soil Carbon Initiative (SCI), and we have committed to scaling and verifying regenerative agriculture practices across our supply network:

Current: 25% of our acre footprint
By 2025: 50% of our acre footprint
By 2030: 100% of our acre footprint
